This is my studio as it appeared in April 2009, this is where I come and make music, or funny noises, as my wife and family inform me. So many instruments, and I'm not that good on the keyboards, but I do a little practice everyday, usually about 10 minutes, just to keep my hand in, so to speak. My last purchase, was an Apple Mac Pro, this is nearly two years old now, I'm running a full version of Logic 8, and interfacing via a Motu 24 I/O and Pre8. which replaced the two Manual Soundcraft Spirit Folio SX Mixers. If you look at the larger images you should be able to make out all the sound devices I use, they are all linked via two MIDI expander units. I usually dismantle the studio once every couple of years, it's quite a good execise to do, as I often find something isn't working just as it should, so by doing a rebuild, I sort out all the little bugs, and it allows me to fine tune the gear. I really need to change the photo's now as it's changed quite a bit this year, as I've bought a lot of new and old equipment, and sold some other pieces I really didn't use that much. I sold my Korg Trinity Pro V3, and replaced it with a Kurzweil K2600XS, I have also added various other items I will be updating the photos for Peter Forrest's visit to my studio on the 6th May 2010. |
